Local Respect councillor Fozol Miah, Independent councillor Rania Khan, Yael Khan of No2VAG and Salim Alam, chair of West London PSC will be speaking. Labour councillors were invited but none are able to attend.

In the first feature film produced within the Palestinian West Bank, Michel Khleifi’s FERTILE  MEMORY, written in 1978 combines documentary and narrative elements to examine the lives of Palestinian women.

Guy and others did skills-sharing workshops in a number of Palestinian towns and villages including Jenin. Whilst there, these British social workers heard shocking accounts of what Palestinians had witnessed and experienced as a result of occupation. Most shocking of all was seeing the treatment of Palestinian child prisoners. Thanks to Defence of Children International, they were able to visit a court and see how Palestinian children are hauled before courts in chains. A powerful letter describing their experiences was published as the lead letter in the Guardian newspaper along with other letters on the same issue.
